Like Soon to be Replaced and Knockoffs before it, this piece explores the relationship between live acoustic string quartet and static electronic string quartet approximations (General MIDI, Mellotron, FM synthesis). Its brief three movements were written, during the high-stress completion of my Masters thesis, for performance by the Voxare Quartet at Dartmouth's 2011 New Music Festival.

Exclamation is simply a piece of music written for music's sake, bearing no structural connections to the aforementioned pieces while also maintaining elements of their spirits.
